I participated in last year's Luminaria project with enthusiastic results. I am re-applying this year with the already completed project, but adapted to the 12 volt Photovoltaic system. The PV panel can be placed in full view with the ceramic works, on the ground, or on a small metal, tilted frame. The charge controller and the 12V DC battery can be hidden inside the ceramic forms.

Ceramic:
This is a set of approximately 15-25 orb or egg shapes, ceramic, glazed forms that have holes penetrating the surface in various designs. The set is flexible in their layout depending on the setting. They can be in a linear format covering 30 feet, or more condensed in their arrangement.

LED Lights and Fiber Optic System:
I will be using an LED light system that is highly efficient, cool running and extremely long lasting. The system is powered by 9V DC. An illuminator unit consisting of LED bulb: Blue to White to Blue (LEDs vary brightness from dim to bright and back again) which shines through a 4 color wheel display. The lights and illuminator are coupled with multi-strand fiber optic cable. The illuminator lights 155 fiber optic strands which will be wired into the ceramic shapes. Power efficient and very safe, as well!

Specifications:
Power: DC 9V 500mA
Bulb Type: LED
Bulb Life: 200,000 hours
Size: L178 X W80 X H51mm
Weight: 0.65Kg.
Multicolor display, extremely safe, low voltage input. Compact, suitable for small area application. LED bulbs (inside the illuminator) are known for their long life. Silent operation, great for lighting decor in silent environment.
